Who we are ?

Lavender Womyn is a National Organization of lesbian social groups, which originally started in the state of Oregon.  We have many chapters located throughout the country.  Click on the “Chapters” link to find out more about our individual chapters.  The group was “unofficially” started on June 1, 2003. We had nineteen womyn and thirteen children who came together for a barbecue. Since then, we’ve grown to hundreds of womyn with lesbian groups forming continuously! Our age group is all ages. What we do ?

Community Support Lavender Womyn has been very successful and has helped a lot of lesbian women, therefore we continue to work towards taking Lavender Womyn nationwide to help other communities.  To find out more about starting a Lavender Womyn’s chapter in your city, click here.
Lavender Womyn Personals Lavender Womyn has our own lesbian personals dating site.  This is another way we help to connect lesbians with each other from all over the world.  We offer many features including: chat, smiles, gifts, and our newest technology called SmartMatch.  No more long questionnaires to fill out.  Our SmartMatch technology does all the work for you.  To find out more about our lesbian dating site, click here.
Lesbian Social Events Each chapter plans and organizes lesbian social events.  This give us a place where we can feel safe to be ourselves and have some fun.  Our events can be anything from going out for a cup of coffee, having game nights, diningOUT, potlucks, BBQ’s, bunco, hikes, and more.
